Growing up in North Carolina, dogwoods were always part of spring. The dogwood is actually North Carolina’s state flower. 🌿
But what it really brought back was a little cross-stitch my mom had hanging in our home. It pictured a dogwood and read:
“He came to die on a cross of wood,
yet made the hill on which it stood.”
I haven’t thought about that little cross-stitch in years. Now I’m wondering… where is it? ❤️
Funny how painting a tiny 4” square can uncover a memory you didn’t even know you’d tucked away.
