Some of life’s greatest gifts are stitched together in unexpected ways.
I was adopted, and about eight years ago I met my half sisters. One of them is an incredibly talented quilter. She has made me several beautiful quilts, and I know every stitch is sewn with love. Quilting brings her so much joy… and because of that, it brings joy to me too.
Long before that, my grandmother, Mamaw, made quilts that I still treasure today. Every time I wrap one around my shoulders, it feels like being wrapped in family.
This little painting is my reminder that quilts are never just blankets. They carry stories, memories, and love across generations.
