I don’t think I ever saw a mud puddle as something to avoid. It was an invitation.

Rain boots meant permission to splash, stomp, and come home with muddy feet and a happy heart. The bigger the puddle, the better the adventure.

Maybe growing up means carrying an umbrella… but I hope we never outgrow the urge to jump in a puddle every once in a while.

This little painting is for the child in all of us who still smiles when it rains.
